How CariLorry handles site information

This notice describes current CariLorry website handling, including optional Buyer sign-in and limited first-party interaction counts.

Return to CariLorry

Public browsing

Marketplace access

Public marketplace and lorry-detail pages can be viewed without signing in. Buyer sign-in is optional.

Listing enquiries

When you send a listing enquiry, CariLorry uses the details needed to handle it and may provide them to the Dealer shown on that listing for related follow-up.

Request-a-lorry submissions

CariLorry receives your Request a Lorry submission first and may provide the details needed to handle it to a suitable Dealer for related follow-up.

Public listing information

Lorry details shown publicly come from inventory information managed through the protected backoffice.

Buyer accounts and Saved Lorries

Buyer account information

A BuyerMember account may include your verified email and authentication identity, optional name and mobile number, language preference, sign-in method, and active session information. CariLorry uses these details to provide and protect account features.

Guest Saved Lorries

When you save lorries as a guest, the saved list and technical state used to keep it working are stored in your browser. Short-lived browser-session markers may also support safe recovery when account status changes.

Account Saved Lorries

For an eligible signed-in Buyer, Saved Lorries are associated with the Buyer account and stored on CariLorry's server so the account list can be provided across visits.

Moving guest saves into an account

When an eligible Buyer signs in, CariLorry may transfer saved lorries from that browser into the Buyer account. Temporary recovery markers and pending-import records help retry interrupted transfers, avoid duplicate processing, and keep unavailable lorries from appearing as active saves.

Cookies and service records

Essential sign-in cookies

An essential secure cookie keeps a Buyer signed in for up to 30 days. Authorized Backoffice users also use an essential session cookie.

Buyer sign-in records

Sign-in may store your verified email, optional name, sign-in method and active sessions. Short-lived security records help prevent misuse and may record which lorry page you intended to return to.

Standard service logs

Hosting and network services may process standard request details such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, and timestamps to operate and secure the site.

External services

WhatsApp links

Opening a WhatsApp link leaves the CariLorry website. Information shared there is handled through WhatsApp rather than a form on this site.

Limited interaction analytics

CariLorry may use optional first-party interaction analytics when enabled. They are off by default for the current Soft Launch configuration.

Login providers and retention

Google processes the identity details used for Google sign-in. Resend receives the email address and code needed for email delivery. Tokyo is a sending route only; Resend states that account data, email metadata, logs and API records are stored in the United States. Expired sign-in and security records follow CariLorry's retention schedule. Contact CariLorry about access, correction or deletion requests.
